A UK power trio who since forming in 2009 have played over 300 shows in their home country and across Europe, releasing their debut EP in 2010 and now have a follow up 4 song EP here for my critical examination. “Leave You For Dead” showcases a lean, modern hard rock sound- elements of Audioslave, Pantera, and Helmet come into play, especially on rhythmically propulsive songs such as “(Everything) Reminds Me Of You” and the title cut. Bassist Tom Shaw handles the lead vocals, and his sarcastic, clean overtone is very alternative in a Mike Patton meets All American Rejects way.

If you love modern hard rock that gets to the slam riffs early and often, Sworn To Oath can be a winning proposition for your listening tastes.
