Liljegren Records/Doolittle Group (2012)

Guitarist/vocalist Tommy ReinXeed isn’t intent on slowing down in any of his creative output. This is his fifth studio album with the power/symphonic metal band ReinXeed - in addition to his production work and other playing with bands like Golden Resurrection and Charlie Shred. ReinXeed is pure high energy pomp and circumstance power metal, fueled with upper range vocal action, double bass chops and riffing straight out of the Helloween/Rhapsody playbook.

The Far Eastern countries will lap up material like “Save Us”, the majestic, galloping “Somewhere In Time” or bombast driven epic “Freedom”. Indiscriminate aficionados won’t mind the clichés that abound- I guess for me when you’ve heard one ReinXeed album, you’ve pretty much heard them all.

“Welcome To The Theater” is 51 minutes that doesn’t come close to the “Keepers” saga or even the outstanding new Rhapsody offering. Time to mix up the formula, Tommy.
