badGod Music (2012)
The main man behind this band (called Corvus, naturally) must have some kind of a fixation on crows. That's surely very poetic and dramatic, but unfortunately the music itself isn't very artistic. It's actually very shitty, to be honest.
”To Pay the Debt of Nature” is a mixture of drone, doom and black metal, and some similarities can be found to bands like Gnaw Their Tongues and Khanate. If you are strongly ”within the scene” you know exactly what to expect: distorted vocals, randomly played guitar riffs, long and boring songs... just everything that is against this so called ”normal” western world pop/rock/metal formula.
I like all kinds of ”shit” music, badly played and muddy sounding harsh noise, but unlike Black Crow King, at least my faves seem to have some kind of a vision and focus in their music - even though it might sound like pure chaos and nonsense to most listener's ears.
I should probably feel oppressed by the music, not oppressed because of the bad quality of the music. Seriously, believe me or not, I've heard better bedroom black metal projects, and that's something that I'm not saying often!
And by the way, there's already much more talented and better known guy called Corvus (ex- Horna, Korgonthurus, Totalselfhatred) around, so maybe changing the pseudonym would be suitable.
